With intellect being one of Phi Kappa Psi’s core values and as part of the mission of the Fraternity is to develop members of character by providing them with the tools to pursue productive, honorable, and purposeful lives, Indiana Beta alumni and members have created several scholarship and grant funds with the Phi Psi Foundation.
The Indiana Beta Chapter OneFunds may be used for chapter awards, scholarships, and educational programming. Traditionally, scholarships from the OneFunds are awarded to brothers with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. In 2023, 18 scholarships were awarded to those brothers striving for academic excellence. The Indiana Beta Bradley Henniger Scholarship was established 12 years ago in memory of Brother Bradley Henniger. This scholarship is awarded to a senior who is focused on being the most helpful of brothers. Brother Andrew Lavalle 2019, an exemplary example of brotherhood, was awarded the scholarship in 2020 and 2022.
A newer fund for Indiana Beta is the Reach for Excellence Grant Fund. This endowment pays for programming centered around leadership and professional development. This programming is offered to the whole chapter and should be used to enrich the lives of all members. The first grant from this fund is set to be used in the 2024-25 academic year. A gift to one of Indiana Beta’s funds, continues the tradition of awarding academic excellence while arming brothers with the tools needed for a purposeful life, whether through programming or scholarships.
